Heidi M. Munger Clary, MD, MPH
Dr. Munger Clary is Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Epilepsy Fellowship Program at Wake Forest University. She completed her clinical training in neurology and epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology Columbia University in New York, NY and her M.D. and Master of Public Health degrees from Northwestern University. Dr. Munger Clary’s main scholarly interest is anxiety and depression in epilepsy, specifically developing and testing novel models of care in a learning health system, to address anxiety and depression. She chaired the AES Psychosocial Comorbidities Committee from 2018-2020 and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology Epilepsy Quality Measurement Workgroup. She has received funding for a learning health system pilot trial of epileptologist-managed anxiety and depression in epilepsy and was recently awarded a KL-2 career development award entitled: Anxiety and depression in epilepsy: assessing outcomes using the electronic medical record.
