Direct Primary Care - A No Insurance Healthcare Model

Dr. Kendrick Johnson and Dr. Kirby Farnsworth are two doctors in Peoria, Arizona who started their own practice following the Direct Primary Care (DPC) Model. They will be giving us an overview of what Direct Primary Care means, how it's changed the way they practice and describe a typical day in their practice. They will also be answering any questions students may have.

Dr. Kendrick Johnson

Dr. Kendrick Johnson is a graduate of Touro University Nevada and has interests in lifestyle change, preventative health, medical education and global health. While in medical school in Nevada, he also started an organization called WorldMedicalSchool.org to help improve global medical education. He believes that should be given the best information and then given the ability to direct their care based on their own values. Now patients have access to a lot more information and they need to be empowered to make their own decisions.
Dr. Kirby Farnsworth

Dr. Kirby Farnsworth was raised in the Southwest Deserts of Southern Utah, spending many a summer night playing in nearby bodies of water, camping, or just sipping on a Slurpee and watching the sunset. He is married with 4 little ones, 6, 4, 2, and a newborn who mean the world to him. He completed medical school at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, NV in 2013 and did his residency at Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program in Conroe, TX, just 30 minutes north of Houston. He really enjoy sports, nutrition and keeping my patients healthy.

Dr. Johnson and Dr. Farnsworth run Ark Family Practice in Peoria, Arizona.
