Description: Tom Martens, MD and Alison Evert, MS, RDN, CDCES review common nutrition misconceptions and advise primary care professionals on how to preliminary address nutrition with people living with diabetes on their journey to reaching and maintaining their glycemic goals.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss how the inclusion of CGM in the treatment plan can inform food choices and plays a role in behavior modification.
  2. Describe how PCPs can have nutrition ("evidence-based") dialogue in the context of an office visit.
  3. Address nutrition misconceptions when it comes to treating diabetes.
