Description: This lecture is both an introduction and a review of basic OMT modalities. The goal is to compare concepts between each modality to make manipulation more accessible and understandable, serving as a primer for the remaining OMT lectures.

George Chou, DO
George Chou, DO, is an assistant professor at Kansas City University and serves as a course director for the first-year clinical skills course. He graduated from the neuromusculoskeletal medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine residency program at Michigan State University in 2019. Born in Taiwan, he emigrated to the United States in 1989. He developed a strong interest in manual therapy and a fascination in musculoskeletal function due to a neck injury as a child. It was from this experience that he dedicated his career to making manipulation accessible, understandable and applicable in the medical setting.
