Vaccines for the fall/winter season

Course Description

This webinar will review the three vaccines recommended during the fall/winter season for pregnant people (COVID-19, flu, RXV), including ACIP/CDC recommendations, storage, and administration. This webinar will also highlight frequently asked questions.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Communicate the immunology of pregnancy vaccines to their patients
  2. Communicate the importance of vaccination during pregnancy
  3. Demonstrate the capacity to conduct motivational interviewing for vaccine decision making, through a health equity framework

Speakers Bios
Dr. Elisha Hall (she/her) is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer with the Immunization Services Division within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She first joined CDC in 2017, transitioning to immunizations in 2020. In her current role, she establishes strategy and coordinates high priority projects across the Division, including maternal immunization.
