Understanding Financial Statements

We at ACHE are delighted to help you improve your professional knowledge and skills.

ACHE’s Self-Study program allows you to set your own pace and place while you develop the leadership and management skills needed to advance your career.

The Self-Study course you have enrolled in offers professional advancement in an independent study format; savings in time and expenses associated with out-of-town programs; and six ACHE Qualifying Education credit hours that can be applied toward ACHE advancement or recertification. The course includes the following:
  • Instructions on how to complete the course and earn credits
  • Course material
  • Assessment
  • Course evaluation form
Completing the course and earning credits are easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Read the course material.
The material will direct you throughout the course. A copy of the book Healthcare Finance: An Introduction to Accounting and Financial Management, Sixth Edition, by Louis C. Gapenski and Kristin L. Reiter, is required reading and is included in this course.

2. Take the assessment.
The end-of-course assessment is based on the course material and the assigned reading.

3. Complete the course evaluation.
After taking the assessment, you will be given an opportunity to provide feedback on this course.
