Target Audience New graduate women’s health nurse practitioners (WHNPs), and other nurse practitioners involved in women’s and gender related healthcare.

Approval CE Approval Period: April 4, 2022, through April 4, 2025
Post-tests must be completed during the approval period with a passing score of 70% or higher to earn CE. No refunds will be issued if the activity is not completed within the approval period.

Objectives
  1. Identify components of routine antepartum health care visits.
  2. Discuss anticipatory guidance needs during pregnancy.
  3. Review fetal assessment including indications for, types of assessments, and interpretation of findings in fetal well-being assessment.   

Content Outline
  1. Diagnosis of pregnancy and pregnancy dating.
  2. Pregnancy terminology (GTPAL).
  3. Prenatal care: visits, labs, vaccines, patient health education and anticipatory guidance.
  4. Prenatal genetic screening.
  5. Assessment for fetal well-being: NST, CST, fetal kick counts, AFI/MVP, BPP, Oligohydramnios, Polyhydramnios.
